Spreading Flowers around Regina

You may have seen me around Regina this past week and a half - I'm yellow, green, and 24 feet long, spreading joy and flowers wherever I go. I've been to many places and made some great friends. It has been wonderful start to my journey around Regina.

My first adventure was to Wascana Centre on Canada Day. My whole family from Wascana Flower Shoppe came out to celebrate my birthday and the birthday of our great country! We handed out a couple thousand red and white carnations to folks out celebrating Canada Day.  I love to make people smile. It's amazing how a bright flower can brighten an already great day!

After my inaugural journey on Canada Day, I was on a roll! I went to Currie Field to cheer on the Regina Red Sox and met all kinds of great fans. A lady even gave me a hug!  I made a stop over lunch at the Italian Star Deli bringing smiles to hungry folks. I survived a thunderstorm at the Western Canada Regatta in Wascana Centre. I checked out the awesome grooves at Afro Fest on the City Square Plaza downtown.  My first of many appearances at the Regina Farmer's Market was a great success, and I had so much fun joining the families who came to Victoria Park to watch Paddington at Cinema Under the Stars later that night. I also was at the VIP night for the New Dance Horizons kick off to their Secret Garden Tour.

I spent the weekend writing in this journal to catch up from all my adventures! This week I can't wait for my second Regina Farmer's Market on Wednesday and my first Market Under the Stars on Thursday.

Also - make sure you come visit me at the Wascana Flower Shoppe this weekend for their 2nd "Shop Local Market" on Saturday, July 18 from 9:30 am - 2:30 pm! You can learn all about which of my local business friends will be there by clicking here

Luckily, my friends at Gerhardt Studios were there with me for most of my adventures and snapped these great moments.
